Ultimate Guide to Books / 4 / Holiday Gifts!
I couldn't choose just one of these books for this week's pick, so I thought I'd cover all bases by making this a mini Holiday gift guide, if you're into that. Such cool coffee table books, don't you think? I imagine I'd crack out my hot cocoa to sip on while flipping through these bad boys...
... also, cinnamon. I mean, come on.

Ultimate Guide To Books / 3 / Humans of New York
Pretty sure I've referred to this book on here before but it's seriously worth another mention, especially under the Ultimate Guide to Books series. It's such a worthy one. The author has a keen knack for pulling the most compelling story from each person he photographs. Thing is, sometimes it's just a one sentence response and in that we are privy to stunning insight into a human we've never seen before now or met before. The interconnectedness is overwhelmingly beautiful.
Go here to get the book and I highly recommend following this guy on Instagram. I'm certain he's transforming the world.

Ultimate Guide to Books / 2 / Yes Please
I wrote this in a recent Instagram post about Amy Poehler's book, Yes Please. I think it best describes my admiration for it:
Oh my gosh, she's my favorite. When I was younger, my dad told me, "Don't be a princess. A princess can't use her intelligence to make her own choices in life. Look for women who are strong, smart, and kind and recognize how much more beautiful that is than a princess." Amy Poehler is that kind of awesome to me, plus she also grew up in Massachusetts so double win in the hero department.
I'm just diving into Yes Please and I don't think I could love it any more... Right on, Amy Poehler.

These Books
Some neat books on my list... Humans of New York is a great blog; have you seen it? This book looks like a fantastic archiving of NYC diversity. What a colorful coffee table book, don't you think?
I'm a huge fan of The Office (both the UK and US series). So when I saw this collection of short stories, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, from BJ Novak, I figured it would be a good dose of funny. Lots of critical acclaim on it so far. I want in.
I'd love to hear your book recommendations. What have you been reading or wanting to read?
p.s. I'd love to get your insights and opinions of this blog and my shop. Here's a quick questionnaire, if you'd like to share!

The Sartorialist Book
The Sartorialist's new book would be a perfect coffee table addition. This guy is all about street fashion, but- you know- street fashion for the upper crust or people getting in debt to fit the upper crust. But still, and like Bill Cunningham, he has a good eye for color and structure. This book is the eye candy for city style around the globe. Have a peek...

Currently on my wish list: books
Anyone going through a moving process knows about the stuff, lots and lots of stuff, that needs to be either packed up or donated. By far, my book collection filled up the vast majority of the moving boxes and, now, fills up my new home. But you know what? I still want more. I don't need more, but I can never stop making a list of new books. These are on my current wish list...
I mean, come on, how can I not want to sit on my sofa or patio with a coffee or cocktail and flip through these? How?! (So now you know my weakness.)

A neat book
This book looks awesome. Bonus: my good friend Brian Newlin is one of the authors. I'm going to snag myself a copy for a Holiday gift (but not without taking a few peeks inside first).
Scoot on over HERE to have a look inside for yourself!

Top Five Tuesday: Books
I confess to sometimes being a little obsessed with Anthropologie. But it's mostly because of stuff like their doorknobs and say, oh I don't know, butter dishes. Though the first place I head to when I visit an Anthropologie store is their book section. Here are some new ones I've come across that would be a nice addition to my own stash.
