Roasted Berry S'mores
Why knock the tried and true s'mores? I say don't. Ever. Except for maybe just this once (and have you seen the waffle s'mores? Holy...)

Lemon Drop Cocktail
My friend, Stephanie, and I went out for cocktails and a tasty meal the other night (I got the mother of all comfort foods... mac + cheese). I love this girl, her sensitivity and honesty. She's just delicate enough in her care for me as a friend while also being straight-forward and firm in her dealings with me. She's a protector and a champion when I lack that for myself. Steph's a keeper but we hardly ever get to hang out anymore. So we made this night a good one to tide us over 'til the next one.
It should be noted that I've been the designated driver when going out with my friends for months... months! I wanted to enjoy a delicious cocktail or two. And, holy man, did I ever. We hit up Lucky's , where they mix the drinks in the shaker at your table (why? to show it's fresh? to be all sassy-like? I don't know.). Anyway, because I'm forever a six year old who most loves sugary sweetness, I got the lemon drop cocktail. And then I ordered another one. And then I was very thankful I didn't have to be the designated driver this time around so I could enjoy my new favorite drink. Want to try it out? Here's a lemon drop recipe. Don't forget the sugar on the rim. Must. have. the. sugar.
Add a bestie and the night is made.

Blackberry Thyme Sparkler
I think a celebratory cocktail is in order, if for no other reason than that we are here living a life with the sort of passion that creates worlds. This blackberry thyme sparkler sounds + looks incredible, doesn't it? Sip, gulp, refill, savor...

Hot Fudge Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches
I'm a little bit delayed with my posts for this week, but doesn't a good hot fudge chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream sandwich make it worth the wait? I sure think so.

Edible Gold Leaf Macarons
Macarons are photogenic. They really are. The colors, the shape, the overall cuteness overload... the colors; did I mention the colors?. (This Pinterest feed will keep you happy for a while.) But they sure do have to be made right. Otherwise, they can turn out dry and near flavorless. I'm lucky to live in a town with a French patisserie, so I get to treat myself to some tasty macarons that are also very very pretty.
I came across this recipe for edible gold leaf macarons and thought some of you out there might want to try it out; or if nothing else, you can stare at their loveliness.

Ombre and Color Block Donuts
I'm kind of flipping out over these ombre + color block donuts, aren't you? For one, they look remarkably delectable. And two, I'd love to have all that sugary color on my lips; like I'm at a trippy carnival.
I want these so very very much but am currently without the extra energy and wherewithal to make them for myself. However, I am open to receiving a care package of them if any one of you is feeling particularly generous... just putting that out there (wink wink.)

Belgian Brownie Waffles
Are you salivating along with me just looking at this picture? Maybe a little bit of drool? Maybe? See now, this is a perfect example of why I'd like to bake more. Why I need to learn to bake; I should start there.
I take that back. I can bake when I actual do it, but it's the setting aside time to for it. Why do I lack that motivation? That'll have to change. Any bakers out there? Do you love it or... eh? I'd love to hear!

Oh, wouldn't these s'mores eclairs be a decadent treat alongside a good cup of coffee? Plus they look really cool, so win-win.

Homemade Eggnog
When I was a kid, Christmas enticed me less for the gifts and more for the bottomless eggnog I drank. Therein lies the true miracle of Christmas... I never projectile vomited after downing what seemed like pitchers of the stuff. So that's good.
Here's a tasty recipe for homemade eggnog courtesy of Will Cook for Friends. Gulp it + enjoy...

Sage Ginger Prosecco Cocktail
I'm not a great cook, or baker, or cocktail maker; at least not compared to some people out there. But I do appreciate a good treat and manage to get lucky in making a delicious something-or-other every now and again. However, I imagine people like Beth Kirby of the lovely Local Milk get these things right significantly more frequently than I. Like this sage ginger prosecco cocktail she concocted for West Elm's Front and Main. This is one hell of a classy cocktail, isn't it?
