Before Mars the Dog entered our loves ( typo- keeping it.), we pulled out the carpet in our living + dining rooms and stained the concrete underneath. It looked pretty cool. But then when he was a puppy, we found that the poor little guy was slipping and sliding everywhere and we were cautious about how that might impact his joint + muscle growth, so we decided to put carpet back in for him.
And he loved it- springing around everywhere. But we miss the clean look of the room without the carpet. Five years into it, the thing is totally getting destroyed and we're thinking of a happy medium for our decor aesthetic + for Mars. So, we're considering getting some of these Flor tiles to sass things up. They have a ton of great styles and I think a few of them would work well in our home.
But, truth be told, I've been spotting some really neat flooring images on Pinterest. The patterns get my mind going for fabric accessory designs. Still, I crave these for my own home + studio space. How beautiful are they?! (the image above is from the Waxing Poetic shop in Summerland, California)
